The GPSC's Doctors Technology Office (DTO) has released two new resources outlining the provincial strategy and interim solutions to help alleviate some of the issues with EMR forms.
The BC Forms Strategy summarizes the vision for a technical solution for a provincial forms repository across the province, and a proof of concept that is being led by the Provincial Health Services Authority, in partnership with DTO, the Ministry of Health, and EMR vendors.
In the interim, DTO has also developed an EMR Forms Best Practices Guide for those creating, developing, or distributing forms to help reduce frustrations and improve functionality for better healthcare service delivery.
DTO is available to provide ongoing support for physicians, partners, and form producers through various channels.
